An interview with Iroquoian David Ramsey, an ancestor of the Mohawk Tribe

 

First Audio Clip (10:20 minutes):
Mr. Ramsey discusses who he is, what his relationship is to the Mohawk tribe, how he honors and respects his ancestry, why he thinks that his people have become second rate in American society, and how the presence of the Indian town of Shamokin and its surrounding areas affects central Pennsylvania today.

Mr. Ramsey describes how he thinks citizens today should pay tribute to the Iroquois heroes of our past.

Mr. Ramsey draws a connection between himself, his ancestors, and the landscape surrounding the confluence of the Susquehanna River.
