Program Excursions

The Program includes a series of half- and full-day excursions to places of cultural, historical, geographical, and sociopolitical importance. And, of course, some of this involves a bit of good "craic" (loosely translated from the Irish as "fun") as well!

What follows are some photos from excursions taken during previous Bucknell in Northern Ireland trips, and a few of the new places that we plan to visit.

We start with a few photos relating to an extraordinarily important member of our Program, Mr. Brian Smyth, AIRporter Travel and Tours, L'Derry (Email: info@airporter.co.uk). Brian not only gets us places that most tour operators would dare not travel, but he does it with a friendly style, easy grace, and the most amazing fund of knowledge about his country and its people that you can imagine. Brian is truly an honorary faculty member of the Program!
