Application Procedures and Forms

Application deadline: February 4, 2005

Program deposit: $50 due March 1, 2005

Important Notes:

1. Admission to the Program is on a rolling basis; therefore, the sooner you complete the application process, the more likely you are to be admitted.

2. Students who will be spending the spring semester 2005 abroad are eligible to apply for the Program, but must have completed the application process by the deadline.

3. Dates and costs are subject to change.

The Program is capped at 20 students. If more than 20 are able to go, then we will have to make some difficult decisions. Please bear in mind that we expect (although we cannot guarantee) to run the Program annually, so that if you are not a senior, you should have at least one more opportunity to participate.

Admission criteria:

Evidence in the application and during the interview of long-standing interest and motivation to pursue studies in areas such as social conflict and resolution, nonprofit community organizations, and psychological trauma.
Evidence in the application and during the interview of interest and motivation to pursue these or related topics during and after completion of the Program.
Recommendations from academic advisors, professors, and administrators.
Roughly equal gender distribution.
Academic major.
Class year.
