Live Water Quality Data Feed

Use the scroll bars to view current water quality conditions in the Susquehanna River on the North Branch at Danville or the West Branch at Milton.


One of the most powerful features of this project is the ability for anyone to view real-time the water quality of the Susquehanna River. Using NexSens telemetry, the YSI sonde data loggers are linked via a cellular telephone to a Bucknell University computer which enables the sonde data to be streamed real-time to this internet web page. Current conditions are shown in the live data window to the right.

You can also visit the project's NextSens site to view statistics and plots of the data, as well as download Excel tables. The figure below shows what the NextSense's web site looks like for the sondes at Danville and Milton on August 6, 2009 at 2 pm.
