FAMILY Indridae

Author:Burnett, 1828.
Citation:Quart. J. Lit. Sci. Arts Lond., 2: 306-307.
Comments:Reviewed by Groves (2001c). Properly Indridae (see Jenkins,1987:43), but Indriidae was conserved as the correct spelling by Opinion 1995 of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (2002a). The Indrid clade includes two recently-extinct families or subfamilies, Archaeolemuridae and Palaeopropithecidae (McKenna and Bell, 1997).
