Roberta Sims

Roberta Sims graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in English Writing, and the Univeristy of Alaska, Fairbanks with a M.F.A. in Creative Writing. She has published poems and short stories in various small presses. Born in Hudson New York in 1960, the youngest of three girls, she spent her childhood in Oakville, Ontario, her formative years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, later moving on to Fairbanks and Barrow, Alaska, Baton Rougue, Louisiana, and after a long wandering roap trip across America in an old Dodge van and a minor fender bender with a police car in Burlington, Vermont, she closed her eyes, spun three times, and landed in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She is a mother to three children, a closet pianist, a voracious reader, compulsive multi-tasker, and free lance writer and web designer.

She has worked at Bucknell University since 1988, as Assistant to the AVP for Information Services and Resources, and an adjunct in the English Department for over ten years. She is currently the Associate Director of Digital Communications.
