Look Up a W Course

To look up a writing course, enter the information you know about the course below. Give as much or as little information as desired – the more information you give, the fewer courses returned. Leaving all of the fields empty will cause the entire database to be selected (not recommended).

For example, to select all of the courses offered as W1 courses in the English department in 2002, select "Course is a W1 course," type "ENGL" in the Departmen t Abbreviation field, and type "2002" in the "Year Taught" field.


View writing courses from 1982-1997

Enter the 5-digit course ID number:

Select the appropriate W-number for this course (if known):

    Course is a W1 course
    Course is a W2 course
    Don't know W-number

Choose a course department if desired:

Enter up to three digits for the course number:
For example, entering "91" will select course numbers 091, 191, 291, and 391.

    Course Number (up to 3 digits)

Enter the two-character course section:
Not all courses have multiple sections, so you will probably want to leave this field empty.

    Course Section (1-2 characters)

Select the semester and enter the year:

    Fall
    Spring Year Taught (4-digit)
    Summer

If you are looking for courses taught by a specific professor, enter her/his last and first names here:

    Last name of instructor
    First name of instructor
