Work with faculty to develop new experientially-based courses which cross disciplinary boundaries and attract students from a wide range of interests.
Foster innovative research on aquatic ecology, hydrology, fluvial geomorphology, geology, cultural anthropology, art and literature, local history, and natural history.
Explore and develop the applications of academic research to watershed management and restoration of degraded areas in the Susquehanna Watershed.
Interact with watershed groups and other NGOs, providing resources to facilitate their efforts.
Each September, offer annual Susquehanna River conference and smaller workshops and seminars.
Disseminate information through professional publications, newsletters, etc.
Inspire and connect students to nature and increase their understanding of natural systems, environmental ethics, and the need to achieve holistic solutions to global environmental issues.
Equip students to become leaders for tomorrow, providing them the skills and knowledge necessary for sustainable watershed management.
