In 1966, R.O.T.C. moved into Spratt House, which was located at 636 Taylor Street on the northeast corner of South Seventh and Taylor Streets. In 1985, Spratt House was moved to a location above the soccer field beside the tennis courts, facing Seventh Street.

In 1985, the Bucknell R.O.T.C. unit supervised programs at four campuses in addition to Bucknell. In 1977, Bloomsburg University, Lycoming College and Susquehanna University had been included in the R.O.T.C. program based at Bucknell. By 1985, Mansfield University also had been included. There were no Bucknell females commissioned in 1985. The first female officer, Sherry Grant, and her husband had been commissioned in 1976. Thirty-six officers were commissioned in 1985 of whom eleven were Bucknell graduates.
