pratt House
In 1952, the University purchased a brick building located at 636 Taylor Street. It was named Spratt House in honor of Harriet E. Spratt, Institute Class of 1855, Institute teacher from 1857 to 1869 and Principal of the Institute from 1870 to 1878. In 1953, the house was used as a dormitory for women; in 1965, the building was not in use.
