Russian Table is a weekly opportunity to speak Russian informally over lunch without the pressures of grades. The day of the week varies, but Tuesdays and Thursdays are preferable since upper language courses meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Scheduling Russian Table on Tuesday or Thursday provides four days of language contact for students serious about mastering spoken Russian. The Russian Club and the Russian Gateway apartments are other ways to extend language contact even further. The Russian assistant always attends the Table but with no planned agenda. Students may talk about whatever they want: the only rule is that we speak Russian.
