Join for even more fun po-russki! The Russian Club

The Bucknell Russian Club (Russky kruzhok) is a student run extra-curricular activity whose goal is to further interest in Russia among students at Bucknell while providing outside-class experiences for anyone interested in Russia or Russian. The Russian Club brings musical and theatrical performers to campus, sponsors Ukrainian Easter egg painting (pysanka) and excursions to Brighton Beach, hosts motion pictures, evenings with speakers, Maslennica parties, and so on.

Participation in the Russian Club contributes to understanding the language and culture of Russia and the NIS area. It also provides a service to the university as a whole by bringing the culture of Russia and the nations of the former Soviet Union to the attention of the university community. The Russian Club offers the opportunity to share your Russian experience with others of similar inclinations. Finally, for the officers, it provides an opportunity for leadership and honing organizational skills.
