Distribution:Circumpolar Arctic seas and coastal regions of Canada, China (Zhejiang-vagrant), France (vagrant), Great Britian (vagrant), Greenland, Iceland, Japan (south to Hokkaido), Norway, Portugal (vagrant), Russia, Spain (vagrant), USA (Alaska, Massachusetts -vagrant).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
