Common Name:Atlantic Forest Oecomys
Type Locality:Brazil, Santa Catarina State, Joinville.
Distribution:Atlantic Forest Region of SE Brazil, Bahia to Santa Catarina, and along riverine forest into Cerrado and Caatinga regions; limits poorly documented.
Comments:Member of the O. trinitatis group but size larger than O. trinitatis proper, pelage more luxuriant, and supraorbital shelves more pronounced.
