Common Name:Round-tailed Muskrat
Type Locality:USA, Florida, Brevard Co., Georgiana.
Distribution:Most of peninsular Florida, extralimitally in extreme SE Georgia and Florida panhandle, USA.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Comments:Geographic races initially delimited by Schwartz (1953), but Whitaker and Hamilton (1998) recommended nigrescens and struix as synonyms of N. a. alleni. See Birkenholz (1972, Mammalian Species, 15).
