Common Name:Goodfellow’s Tree-kangaroo
Type Locality:Papua New Guinea, Owen Stanley Range, vic. Mt. Obree, 8000 ft. (2438 m).
Distribution:Mainland of Papua New Guinea, sea level to 2860 m.
Status:IUCN – Endangered; uncommon.
Comments:Does not include spadix. Groves (1982d) regarded this species as a subspecies of the earlier named matschiei; but see Flannery (1990:100-104), also Ganslosser (1980). Does not include pulcherrimus (see below).
