Laplace's Equation for the Normal Curve

Laplace's equation is basic to studying the normal curve in statistics.

Laplace analyzed games, averages, morality, and insurance risks when developing the theory of probability in his book, Théorie analytique des probabilités. His process of estimating error and other statistical inferences have been applied to the social sciences and legal matters, as well as to the physical sciences and medicine.
