Common Name:Xanthippe's Shrew
Type Locality:Kenya, Voi.
Distribution:Nyiru, Voi, Tsavo (SE Kenya); Usambara Mtns (Tanzania).
Status:IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:Status uncertain; probably related to hirta. Not to be confused with Crocidura xanthippe Bate, 1937 (replaced by C. samaritana Bate, 1937), a Pleistocene shrew from Palestine.
