Common Name:Molina’s Akodont
Type Locality:Argentina, Buenos Aires Prov., Partido de Villarino, Laguna Chasicó.
Distribution:S Argentina (Mendoza to Buenos Aires Provs., south to Chubut).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Akodon, A. varius species group (Myers, 1989). Chromosomal polymorphism (2n = 42-44) and distributional extent with regard to A. dolores (also see remarks therein) reported by Tiranti (1998b).
