Common Name:Junín Akodont
Type Locality:Perú, Junín Dept., 22 km (by road) N La Oroya (at junction of Hwy 3 to Junín and Hwy 20 to Tarma), 4040 m.
Distribution:E and W Andean slopes, above 2700 m, of C Perú, south along W slopes to Dept. Ayacucho.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Akodon, A. boliviensis species group (Myers et al., 1990).
