Common Name:Molina's Hog-nosed Skunk
Type Locality:"Chili," restricted by Cabrera (1957) to "alrededores de Valparaíso." [Chile].
Distribution:N Argentina, Bolivia, S Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Kipp (1965) considered rex as conspecific with chinga; however, it was listed as separate by Osgood (1943) and Cabrera (1957). Synonyms allocated according to Cabrera (1958).
