(1980), for a general review Genoways and Choate (1998) and McCay (2001, Mammalian Species No. 673). Hall (1981:54) listed carolinensis as a subspecies of brevicauda. Karyotype has 2n = 36-46, FN = 48-49 (Genoways and Benedict, in Wilson and Ruff, 1999). |
