Common Name:Mexican Cottontail
Type Locality:"Mexico." Restricted by Goodwin (1969:125) to "Sacualpan" = Zacualpan.
Distribution:S Sinaloa to E Oaxaca and Veracruz (Mexico).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Comments:Subgenus Sylvilagus (Gureev, 1964:167). See also S. graysoni.Reviewed by Cervantes et al. (1992, Mammalian Species, 412).
