Common Name:Eversmann’s Hamster
Type Locality:Russia, Orenburg Oblast, near Orenburg.
Distribution:Steppes of N Kazakhstan from Volga River to the upper Irtysh River at Zaysan Lake in E Kazakhstan; also N Xinjiang Prov., NW China (Wang, 2003).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
