Type Locality:"island of Chiloé".
Distribution:Chile (Chiloé Isl, and Nahuelbuta National Park)(Medel et al., 1990).
Status:CITES Appendix II (as included in Pseudalopex (= Lycalopex) griseus).
Comments:The distinctiveness of fulvipes is supported by mtDNA analyses (Yahnke et al., 1996).
