  1. GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVE

    This half-credit course is designed to provide to those who have already gained a reading knowledge of Russian, an opportunity to read significant portions of a book or several articles in Russian in connection with a class offered in English. It is useful for students who have completed RU 101-102 and acquired a basic knowledge of grammar and would like to develop specialized vocabulary by reading in their major field.

  2. DESCRIPTION OF SUBJECT MATTER

    Individually selected books and articles related to a particular course which the student is enrolled in or his major field of interest.

  3. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION AND STUDY

    Student reads material at home, consulting weekly with the instructor in order to ask questions and check translation.

  4. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SOURCES

    Chosen by the individual student in consultation with the instructor.
