1915 Carnegie Library
This photograph was taken from the quadrangle side of the library. The double doors at the top of the stone steps led to the Reading Room on the first floor. The Observatory is located at the left of the library building. The thin white line, located behind the tree to the right of the library building, is South Seventh Street. The skylight over the Reading Room is not visible in the photograph. A platform was erected in front of the double doors of this entrance for use in outdoor commencement ceremonies.
