Common Name:Natterer's Myotis
Type Locality:Germany, Hessen, Hanau.
Distribution:Ireland, Great Britain, Europe (except N Scandinavia), Morocco, N Algeria, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Bulgaria, Crimea and Caucasus to Turkmenistan.
Status:IUCN 2003 and IUCN/SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Does not include araxenus or bombinus; see Horácek and Hanák (1984) and Kawai et al. (2003). Reviewed in part by Harrison and Bates (1991) and Horácek et al. (2000). For discussion of correct spelling see Bogdanowicz and Kock (1998).
