Common Name:Baird's Shrew
Type Locality:USA, Oregon, [Clatsop Co.], Astoria.
Distribution:NW Oregon (USA).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Otisorex; S. vagrans complex (Carraway, 1990; Demboski and Cook, 2001). This taxon has been alternatively referred to obscurus, vagrans, and monticulus, but was given specific rank by Carraway (1990). Includes permiliensis as a valid subspecies (Alexander, 1996; Carraway, 1990).
