Common Name:Lamotte's Shrew
Type Locality:Côte d’Ivoire, Lamto (savane).
Distribution:Sudan and Guinea savanna from Senegal to W Cameroon.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Includes elegans as a subspecies; see Hutterer (1986a). Karyotype has 2n = 52, FN = 68 (Meylan, 1971).
