Gureev (1979) listed ibeana, lutreola, and maanjae as distinct species without comment. Does not include virgata; see under that name. The remaining synonyms are in need of revision. A karyotype from Burundi has 2n = 52, FN = 76 (Maddalena and Ruedi, 1994).For synonyms see Heim de Balsac and Meester (1977). |
