Common Name:Mouse-tailed Atlantic Spiny-rat
Type Locality:Brazil, Bahia.
Distribution:Bahia (Brazil).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Proechimys myosuros.
Comments:This taxon is only tentatively placed in Trinomys because the teeth remain undescribed. Thomas (1921a) synonymized it with setosus, whereas Moojen (1948) concluded that its affinities were with albispinus.
