[1998], and references cited therein). | Status: | IUCN – Lower Risk (nt). | Comments: | Standard karyotype (2n = 40, FN = 60) described by Jotterand-Bellomo and Schauenberg, 1988, as P. cumingi); a minimum of two Robertsonian and three non-Robertsonian events separate karyotypes of the two Phloeomys (Rickart and Musser, 1993). This species is becoming common in zoos. |
