Common Name:Flower’s Gerbil
Type Locality:Egypt, Sinai, S of El Arish.
Distribution:Known only from the type locality.
Status:IUCN – Critically Endangered.
Comments:Subgenus Gerbillus. Usually considered a synonym of G. pyramidum, but Lay (1983) explained why it should not be united with that species (in his comments under G. pyramidum). Reviewed by Pavlinov et al. (1990).
