Common Name:Sprightly Colilargo
Type Locality:Panamá, Chiriqui Prov., Volcán de Chiriqui, Boquete, 4000 ft (1219 m).
Distribution:Lower montane and montane wet forests, 840-3000 m, in C Costa Rica and W Panamá.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Comments:Relegated to a subspecies of O. fulvescens by Goldman (1918) and so arranged thereafter (e.g., Hall, 1981). Bangs (1902), however, correctly recognized the sympatry of his new species with O. fulvescens, and Carleton and Musser (1995) clarified its morphological definition, regional synonymies, and geographic range.
