Distribution:C Chile, coastal region from Coquimbo Prov. south to Cautín Prov.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Tamayo and Frassinetti (1980) listed delfini (see above account) as a subspecies of C. megalonyx.
