Type Locality:Brazil, Sergipe, Santansa dos Frades, about 11 km SW of Pacatuba, Aragao, 10°32’S, 36°41W, alt. 90 m.
Distribution:NE Brazil, between Rio São Francisco and Rio Real.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Critically Endangered.
Comments:Subgenus Callicebus. C. personatus species group.
