Type Locality:Venezuela, Bolivar, southern base of Mt. Roraima, 930 m.
Distribution:Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam, N Brazil, Venezuela, perhaps N Colombia.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:C. capucinus species group. Replaces nigrivittatus; see Husson (1978:223). Mittermeier and Coimbra-Filho (1981) queried the distinction of this species from C. capucinus.
