Common Name:Inyo Shrew
Type Locality:USA, "summit of Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, Owens Valley [Inyo Co.], Calif[ornia, about 4500 ft. = 1372 m]."
Distribution:Mountains of WC Nevada and EC California (USA).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Otisorex. Similar to nanus with which it may form an allospecies (Hoffmann and Owen, 1980, Mammalian Species No. 131), but George (1988) retained both as separate species on the basis of allozyme frequencies.
