Common Name:Sclater's Mouse Shrew
Type Locality:South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal Prov., Zululand, Ngoye hills, 250 m.
Distribution:Wet habitats in KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa).
Status:IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:Provisionally regarded as a distinct species by Wolhuter (in Smithers, 1983:3); occurs in sympatry with cafer and has a different karyotype (2n = 38). Meester et al. (1986) included sclateri in cafer.
