Rep. Congo. | Status: | IUCN – Lower Risk (lc). | Comments: | The largest species of the genus; discussed in some detail by Dieterlen and Heim de Balsac (1979). Querouil et al. (2003) studied the phylogeography of the species in the Congo Basin; they found little genetic differentiation between populations from SW Cameroon to W Congo.
