Common Name:Desert Musk Shrew
Type Locality:Ethiopia, Webi Shebeli, near Finik.
Distribution:Arid regions of Senegal, Ethiopia, and probably Somalia.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Revised by Hutterer (1986a). Specimens reported from Somalia by Heim de Balsac (1966a) represent macarthuri; see under that species. Includes debalsaci as a distinct subspecies; see Hutterer (1981b).
