Common Name:Puerto Rican Nesophontes
Type Locality:Puerto Rico, Cueva Cathedral, near Morovis.
Distribution:Puerto Rico, Vieques, Vieques, St. Johns, St. Thomas.
Status:Extinct.
Comments:Size variation documented by McFarlane (1999a). This species may have died out much earlier than 1500 AD. McFarlane (1999b) reported a date of 5410 +/- 80 yrs B.P.
