Known only from the type locality. | | Status: | IUCN – Endangered. | | Comments: | Recorded only by four melanistic examples, possibly highly restricted in distribution (Heaney et al., 1998; Musser and Newcomb, 1983). One of three murines endemic to the Greater Palawan Faunal Region (Maxomys panglima and Chiropodomys calamianus are the other two). |
