Common Name:Yucatán Vesper Rat
Type Locality:Mexico, Yucatán, Chichén Itzá.
Distribution:Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico, south to N Belize and NE Guatemala (Peten Dept.).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Range wholly allopatric to that of its probable sister taxon Nyctomys; new records in Quintana Roo documented by Aranda et al. (1997).
