Common Name:Swynnerton's Bush Squirrel
Type Locality:Tanzania, Usambara, Lushoto, Wilhelmsthal.
Distribution:C and E Tanzania.
Status:IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:It is possible that vexillarius and byatti are separate species, as treated by G. M. Allen (1939) and Ellerman (1940). Amtmann (1975) combined them but stated that they may be distinct species.
