Common Name:Three-striped Ground Squirrel
Type Locality:"Sumatra," [Indonesia]. Restricted by Sody (1949a:113) to Lampongs, S Sumatra.
Distribution:Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, adjacent isls.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Formerly included niobe, and obscurus; see Chasen (1940:145-146); but see also Corbet and Hill (1992:300); see comments under niobe.
