Common Name:Peters's Squirrel
Type Locality:"Eastern Mexico." Restricted by Nelson (1899b:88) to "near Las Vigas [Veracruz] Mexico."
Distribution:Mexico: San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Puebla, Mexico, Queretaro and Guanajuato.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Sciurus (Hall, 1981:430). Reviewed by Best (1995e, Mammalian Species No. 498).
