Common Name:Patas Monkey
Type Locality:Senegal.
Distribution:Savannahs, from W Africa to Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subspecies may exist, but at least some of the features supposed to characterize them were based on changes to the female’s facial pattern during pregnancy (Groves, 2001c).
