Common Name:Grivet
Type Locality:Sudan, Sennaar.
Distribution:Sudan east of the White Nile, Eritrea, Ethiopia east to the Rift Valley.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Cercopithecus aethiops.
Comments:Does not include pygerythrus, sabaeus, djamdjamensis or tantalus (Kingdon, 1997; Groves, 2001c) or cynosuros (Groves, 2001c). According to Napier (1981), zavattarii is based on a hybrid with pygerythrus.
